Gwenievere Birster Presents Research at International Convention of Psychological Science in Vienna

Gwenievere Birster, a senior psychology major from Bloomsburg, Pa., presented a poster, "Self-efficacy and self-control in simulated partial seizures," at the International Convention of Psychological Science in Vienna, Austria, March 23 to 25. Birster used augmented reality to simulate what it is like to have a partial epileptic seizure, in order to understand how we can better treat them, and how we might teach non-epileptics about them. The poster was co-authored by Albright assistant professor of psychology Justin Couchman, Ph.D.
