Leah Williams Spends Summer 2016 Conducting ACRE Project

2016 Jul 5

Leah Williams, a junior English/Spanish/secondary education major from Gilbertsville, Pa., is spending the summer tackling an Albright Creative Research Experience (ACRE) project.

Williams' project is titled "Revolution and Art in the 1980's: Nicaragua and Cuba."

ACRE is a multi-disciplinary program that affords undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct research or pursue creative endeavors during the summer break or the three-week January Interim. Students work one-on-one with faculty mentors and receive stipends from the College.

Williams is one of 24 Albright students, from various academic disciplines, conducting ACRE projects this summer. As part of their work, ACRE students present on their research during the summer and fall, and often go on to present their findings at regional or national conferences or use it as a springboard for further study.
