Albright College Nationally Ranked by WSJ/Times Higher Education

by Carey Manzolillo

Reading, PA (09/22/2021) — Named a Top National College by the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education (WSJ/Times), Albright College is one of only 796 college and universities to be ranked for 2022. Albright also ranked 141 out of 258 on the WSJ/Times 2022 Northeast region list.

Based on 15 performance indicators, the WSJ/Times ranking uses data from sources that include the U.S. government (IPEDS), the College Scorecard, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Elsevier bibliometric dataset, and the WSJ/Times's own student and academic surveys. Methodology focuses on four key pillars. Forty percent of the overall score is based on student outcomes, 30% on college resources, 20% on student engagement and 10% on the college's learning environment.

Albright's national WSJ/Times recognition follows several other key rankings released this month, including recognition as a Top 32 National College for Social Mobility by U.S. News and World Report, and rankings by Washington Monthly for Best Liberal Arts Colleges (149 out of 215) and Best Bang for the Buck in the Northeast (238 out of 393). The Princeton Review also named Albright one of only 223 Best Colleges in the Northeast, this September.

Founded in 1856, Albright College is a diverse community of learners cultivating integrity, curiosity, connection and resilience.
