Albright/Drexel Establish Law School Articulation Agreement

Reading, PA (05/14/2021) — Albright College and Drexel University have established a new early admission articulation agreement for Albright students to more quickly earn either a Juris Doctor or Master of Legal Studies graduate school degree.

Qualified Albright College students are invited to begin their first year of legal studies during their senior year at Albright, graduating with both a bachelor's degree from Albright and a Juris Doctor degree from Drexel University's Thomas R. Kline School of Law in three additional years (3+3 BA/JD) - or a Master of Legal Studies degree in one additional year (3+1 BA/MLS).

Drexel's Master of Legal Studies degree is designed to teach students about legal issues and regulations that all businesses and organizations face. The Juris Doctor degree entitles graduates to take the bar exam and begin the practice of law.

Albright students considering law school should confer with Suzanne Palmer, J.D. LL.M., assistant professor of economics and business. Palmer is an attorney and an experienced pre-law advisor who can guide students through the process of preparing for a career in law and law school applications.

Founded in 1856, Albright College is a diverse community of learners cultivating integrity, curiosity, connection and resilience. The college's flexible curriculum encourages students to combine and cross majors to create individualized academic programs. Close faculty mentorship and numerous experiential learning options create opportunities for Albright graduates to exceed their own expectations. Located in Reading, Pa., Albright enrolls more than 1,800 full-time undergraduates and 700 adult learners and graduate students.
