Albright named 2023 Best College by Princeton Review

by Carey Manzolillo

Reading, PA (08/30/2022) — Albright College has again been named an "academically outstanding" Best College in the Northeast by the Princeton Review. One of only 224 schools to earn the honor for 2023, Albright has appeared on the Princeton Review's Best Northeast Colleges list 18 times in the last 19 years.

Pointing out Albright's innovative "strong arts and theater program, as well as "prestigious pre-professional [and] sciences program," students told the Princeton Review that internship and study abroad opportunities abound at Albright and that the college's professors are "extremely passionate about what they teach."

Although the national acceptance rate for medical school applicants is about 40%, more than 90% of Albright graduates make it to that next level with the help of faculty with deep insight into the demands of top graduate schools around the country.

Student reviewers also spoke highly of their peers, and about their many choices for on-campus activities. But when they want a break from campus life, students also say they "check out the restaurants in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania" or head to the "big arena nearby that often brings in big names for concerts and shows."

Said one student reviewer, "It is nice to walk across campus and feel like you're at home."

Named a top national college by Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education, Albright College (founded 1856) is home to a diverse community of learners who cultivate integrity, curiosity, connection and resilience. Through learning experiences that engage a student's creative and innovative capacities across all disciplines, both inside and outside of the classroom, an Albright College education guarantees that each student learns how to engage the world, understand the world, and is prepared to make an impact on a rapidly changing world. Located in Reading, Pa., Albright is home to undergraduate students, adult learners and graduate students.
