Albright Psychology Professor Earns 2023 Excellence in Teaching Award

Reading, PA (06/01/2023) — Melinda Anthony Spolski '93, Schuylkill Haven, Pa., instructor of applied psychology at Albright College has been named winner of the 2023 School of Professional Studies Melinda Riccio '94 Memorial Excellence in Teaching Award.

The Melinda Riccio '94 Memorial Excellence in Teaching Award is dedicated to the honor and memory of Assistant Professor Melinda Riccio who was known for enthusiasm, excellence in teaching, and passion and dedication to students. Winners are nominated by students in the School of Professional Studies.

An Albright graduate returning to the college as a member of the faculty in 2010, Spolski was nominated for her ability to build critical thinking, to provide individualized feedback and for her supportive teaching style.

"She gives great feedback and you can tell she appreciates your posts and the conversations being had among the class regarding diversity and how we can all be more mindful and helpful towards each other," said a nominating student.
