Albright Students Perform "Sensitive Guys" in Wachovia Theatre

Performed Nov 4-7, 2021, "Sensitive Guys" written was by MJ Kaufman and directed by Andrea Hart. The Wachovia theatre production follows two student-led support groups working to mitigate sexual assault on a small college campus. Five women and non-binary performers inhabit all the roles in this compelling satire about gender roles and contemporary college life.

Albrightians Present Global Interpretation of Romeo & Juliet

Albright College students took part in a large scale adaption of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" this spring, as seen through the diverse perspectives of participants from the global community. Directed by Dahlia Al-Habieli, M.F.A., assistant professor of theatre, a team of students and professionals worked to coordinate the casts and crews of nearly 70 people, while creating original music and combining/editing hundreds of actor recordings.

Albright Student Documentary Explores Reading Pagoda

Conducting research with business faculty member, Richard Schott, MBA, Albright business administration major Sean Darrar '20, produced a documentary exploring the early-day unethical business practices of the iconic Reading Pagoda. A free screening of the documentary "Reading's Pagoda: The Business That Never Was" will be held on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m., in Albright College's Center for the Arts Klein Lecture Hall.

While working with Lancaster Partnership for Public Health, Albright student Alma Felix created a short documentary about the negative effects of exposure to lead in children from the Lancaster, Pa., area. The film premiered Tuesday, February 19 at Zoetropolis, Lancaster.

Albright College Senior Wins National Theatre Scholarship

Albright senior Sarah Crake of West Pittston, Pa., has won a 2015 Hoenig Theatre Artists' Scholarship. Crake is one four students nationwide to receive the $3,000 stipend, designed to "assist promising young artists in establishing a career in the theatre and theatre arts."
