Albright College students are competing as members of the Lions' NCAA Division III varsity athletic teams this spring.

Research by Albright College students, alumni and faculty has been accepted for presentation to the American Chemical Society this March. Nearly as old as Albright College, the American Chemical Society is one of the world's largest scientific organizations with more than 200,000 members across 140 countries. Thousands of members gather to share ideas and advance scientific and technical knowledge during the American Chemical Society conference, March 17-21 in New Orleans, La.

Albright College psychology students and faculty presented research projects at the Eastern Psychological Association Annual Conference, Feb. 29-March 2, 2024. Founded in 1896, the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) is the oldest regional Psychological Association in the United States. Its sole purpose is to advance the science and profession through the dissemination of professional information about the field of Psychology. EPA achieves this goal by conducting its annual meeting where members present the latest advances in professional and scientific work to their colleagues.

Albright's Domino Players and Theatre Department present "The Revolutionists," written by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Matt Fotis, Feb. 22-25, 2024. Four beautiful, renegade women lose their heads in the woman-empowered comedy, set during the French Revolution's Reign of Terror.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, Albright students must earn a GPA of 3.75 or better while taking a minimum of three letter-graded courses during a semester.

Two first-year Albright College Global Scholar students will present their work on furthering Justice, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) for the 35th annual Association of Academic Programs in Latin America and the Caribbean conference held in Cali, Colombia.

Albright College students are competing as members of the Lions' NCAA Division III varsity basketball, swimming, indoor track and club cheerleading teams this winter.

Led by Albright Associate Professor of Theatre, Julia Matthews and Technical Director/Master Electrician, Donald Quilinquin, ten Albright College students travelled to the Kennedy Center American College Theater Region II Festival in Pittsburgh, Pa., this January, to participate in dozens of workshops, keynote speeches, invited productions, and theatre design, technology and management competitions.

Abigail Hudson of Millersville, Md., has been named a Brogan Scholar for 2024. A senior co-majoring in political science and psychology with a minor in public health, Hudson hopes to spark her vision for the future through an internship with Safe Berks.

Fifteen Albright second-year students took part in a Sophomore Disney Leadership Experience at Albright and Walt Disney World over the Interim 2024 session. Students with a GPA of at least 2.5 applied for the program at the end of their first year.

Through Albright Creative Research Experience (ACRE) projects, undergraduate students conduct research or pursue creative endeavors outside of regular semester sessions. Student proposals that are accepted by a faculty review board are rewarded with college stipends.

Each semester, Albright College students travel the globe. This Interim semester, faculty are leading a large group of students in Ecuador.

Three Albright College students who applied for The Washington Center's competitive 2024 Inside Washington seminar have been accepted to participate in the fully-funded opportunity. The one-week Inside Washington seminar will be held in Washington, D.C., Jan. 3-11, 2024.

Albright College students and faculty penned "Best of Berks" profiles for Berks County Living magazine's December 2023 issue.

Albright students have been named to leadership positions within the college's clubs and organizations for 2023.

Twenty Albright students performed in the college's improvisational theatre show, Friday, Nov. 17. Led by theatre professor Matt Fotis, Ph.D., Albright Improv includes an open-access, low pressure group and an audition-based team that participates in on- and off-campus improv festivals.

Albright's Domino Players and Theatre Department present "As You Like It," written by William Shakespeare, directed by Julia Matthews, Ph.D., Nov. 16-19, 2023. "All the world's a stage" and all society's rules of conformity are off in this exuberant theatrical journey into one of Shakespeare's most beloved comedies.

About 25 Albright College students have been named to the competitive Albright College Ambassador program -- a leadership opportunity for students who demonstate strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as good academic and social standing.

Albright College students are completing internships across a range of areas such as communications, fashion, sports analysis and the arts during the fall of 2023.

The Albright College Domino Players and Theatre Department presented "Song and Story" - a devised theatre piece created by the ensemble and directed by Jeffrey Lentz, fall 2023. The curated narrative was built around original works to showcase artists all across Albright's campus and to bring together all areas of the arts onto one stage in artistry and collaboration.

Emily Johnson and Dylan Sokolovich have been named co-editors of the Albrightian newspaper. Michael Thomas has been named the student-run newspaper's secretary and Leon Sconion has been named treasurer.

High-performing Albright students have been named Writing Center tutors for the 2023-24 academic year. All Albright tutors are certified or are attending trainings to be certified by the College Reading and Learning Association's International Tutor Training Program.

Directed by Derrick Thompson, Ed.D., and accompanied by Jeffrey Lentz and Karen Eddinger on piano, the Albright College Masterworks choral concert was peformed Oct. 7 as part of the fall 2023 musical season.

Throughout their entire first year, a cohort of 18 students will be living and learning together as Albright College Global Scholars.

Sixteen Albright students performed in the college's "Monologues and Lectures" improvisational theatre show, Friday, Sept. 19. Nine Albright College seniors were named members of the Albright College Homecoming Court this fall.

Albright College students and alumni returned for a third year as the sole undergraduate college to unveil designs on a New York Fashion Week runway on Sept. 9. Produced by alumnus R. Scott French '87 of VERY New York, this year's show was at capacity just days after invitations went out and boasted attendance by national and international media outlets. The 2023 show featured the talent and innovation of six alumni designers, and a large crew of students who worked behind the scenes to make the show a success.

A large class of academically-minded first year and transfer students are joining the Albright College community, as the class of 2027. Globally, they are joining the Reading, Pa., community from 18 different states and 14 countries. 36 graduated in the top 10% of their high school classes and 68 are eligible for Albright's prestigious Honors program. More than 50% are the first in their families to attend college. More than a third will compete as varsity Division III athletes. 70% plan to take advantage of the college's distinctive co-major program, which enables students to cross or combine different programs, without taking longer to graduate.
