Albright College Students Named to Fall 2022 Dean's List

To be eligible for the Dean's List, Albright students must earn a GPA of 3.75 or better while taking a minimum of three letter-graded courses during a semester.

Taisha Charles Presents Original Mathematics Research

Taisha Charles presented a paper "Counting Variations of Knights and Knaves Puzzles," at the Mathematics of Various Entertaining Subjects Conference (Summer 2022). The paper follows Charles' one-on-one Summer 2021 Albright Creative Research Experience (ACRE) with Brittany Ohlinger, Ph.D., assistant professor of mathematics. Charles is a high-achieving Albright student, currently pursing a second ACRE on "Question Creation as a Tool to Help Students Learn Mathematics" with Justin Couchman, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology.

Albright College Art Students Facilitate Mural Creation/Installation

Four Albright College students brought art to the Greater Reading community by helping to create and install murals at Berks Nature and Kimberton Whole Foods in Wyomissing. A collaborative installation featuring the students' silkscreen printing is also on display in the college's Freedman Gallery.

Students Perform in Jazz Combos Concert

Directed by Mark Lomanno Ph.D., Albright College Jazz Combos are small student ensembles that study and perform in the Black American music tradition of jazz. The ensemble's curriculum is a mix of applied instruction, history, theory and improvisation skills, while live performances feature a repertoire chosen from the entire history of jazz music - in the United States and throughout the world. The Jazz Combos are an integral part of Albright's African American music minor and the rebirth of the college's Africana studies program.

Drew MacDonald has been accepted into Tower Health's eleven month Medical Laboratory Science program at the Reading Hospital School of Medical Laboratory Science and will begin training after graduating from Albright College this spring.

Leah Strausser Accepted into Competitive Medical Lab Program

Albright College Founder's Scholar, Leah Strausser of Narvon, Pa., has been accepted into Tower Health's 11 month Medical Laboratory Science program at the Reading Hospital School of Medical Laboratory Science. A graduate of Garden Spot High School studying Molecular Psychobiology with a minor in Evolutionary Studies at Albright, Strausser will begin training after completing her Albright Bachelor of Science degree this spring.
