A large class of academically-minded first year and transfer students are joining the Albright College community, as the class of 2026. Globally, they are joining the Reading, Pa., community from 22 different states and four countries (Argentina, Ghana, Hong Kong SAR and Japan). More than 20% of class members are eligible for Albright's rigorous honors program and 19 are Albright Shirk Scholars. More than 55% will be the first in their families to attend college.

Founded in 1981, the American Society for Virology was the first scientific society in the world dedicated exclusively to virology.

Twenty seven members of the Albright College Class of 2022 have been named lifetime Jacob Albright Scholars. Established in 1982, the Jacob Albright Society celebrates Albright graduates with a grade point average of 3.85 or higher, who have completed at least half their course work at the college.
