Shayla Gaither of Cheltenham, Pa., has earned a $10,000 Toyota Philly Ad Club Scholarship for 2019. These scholarships are presented to students who represent the future of advertising and communications in Philadelphia. A junior at Albright College, Gaither is studying communications/public relations and advertising.

High Achieving Albright Grads Named Jacob Albright Scholars

Fifteen members of the Albright College Class of 2019 were named lifetime Jacob Albright Scholars at a ceremony on Sunday, May 5. Established in 1982, the Jacob Albright Society includes Albright graduates with a grade point average of 3.85 or higher, who have completed at least half their course work at the college.

Fifty-five Albright College students presented original artwork for the Freedman Gallery's annual juried student exhibit, this May. Several artists earned prizes and awards, given in different categories during a special reception and many of the exhibitors sold work to visitors.

Marina Nye presents undergrad work at American Historical Association

Marina Nye presented scholarly undergraduate work at the annual American Historical Association meeting, held January 3-6 in Chicago, Ill., as part of a competitive undergraduate poster session. Mye's project, "Impact of Sartorial Culture on Female Politics during the French Revolution," was chosen as one of 28 projects to be presented based on a nation-wide call for participants. Beginning as a research paper for a class taught by history professor Guillaume de Syon, Ph.D., Nye's work has since expanded into an honors thesis.
