Hard-working Albright College students have earned awards for academic work.

Nine graduating class of 2020 Albright College students have earned leadership awards this May.

Undergraduate Albright College students present scholarly research at the 21st annual Higher Education Council of Berks County (HECBC) conference, Saturday, April 18, 2020, alongside peers from Alvernia University, Kutztown University, Penn State Berks and Reading Area Community College. This year's conference is hosted online by Albright College.

Albright College awards Presidential Scholarships, in the amount of $15,000 per year, to students with outstanding academic records. Presidential Scholars generally rank in the top five percent of their graduating class and demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to service.

Albright College senior Miranda Holliday has earned a Miranda Family Fellowship - awarded to passionate college juniors and seniors from underrepresented backgrounds who are studying music, theater or dance. Holliday, majoring in theatre and political science at Albright, received the news directly from Luis A. Miranda Jr., father of Broadways' Lin-Manuel Miranda. The fellowship offers generous financial support as well as guidance from Lin Manuel Miranda's professional development network.

Although the American Chemical Society's annual national meeting and expo has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus, research by Albright students was vetted and accepted for presentation to the organziation's thousands of cutting-edge researchers, scholars and scientists.

Albright College junior Shayla Gaither has been named a 2020 Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact. Newman Civic Fellows are leaders on their campuses who demonstrate a commitment to finding solutions for challenges facing communities locally, nationally and internationally.

Abigail Ensslen '21 accepted the Dick Jones Scholarship for Aspiring Communication Professionals at the 2020 CUPRAP Conference, in March 2020. The competitive $2,500 scholarship is awarded to an aspiring college student with plans to pursue a career in professional communications.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, Albright students must earn a GPA of 3.75 or better while taking a minimum of three graded courses during a semester.

Robert Moss is spending the spring 2020 semester in Orlando, Florida, taking part in the Disney College program.

Each semester, Albright College students travel the globe. This spring, students are studying in locations such as Italy, New Zealand and South Korea.

The Brogan Scholars Endowed Internship Fund helps these students defray expenses during their experience.

Thirty Albright College students are taking part in faculty-led educational trips to Ecuador, Hawaii and Costa Rica during this winter's Interim Session.

Albright students, Jessica Mack and Patrick Sporrer, have won President's Innovation Awards from the National Association of Music Merchants - the preeminent organization for musical instrument and technology companies around the world. The award includes funds to attend the organization's conference in Anaheim, Calif., this January.

Four Albright College juniors have been accepted for a 2021 start into the Early Assurance Program at Penn State College of Medicine - Hershey. Accepted are Albright chemistry major Maya Fares, and biology majors Jennifer Crumling, Nicole Crumling and Donna Saboori.

Albright College adult and undergraduate students, alongside alumni and staff members, penned 35 winning Best of Berks business profiles for Berks County Living magazine's December 2019 issue. In addition, Albright fashion alumna, Juli Cleaver '01, was featured for earning a second Lifetime Best Award as owner of Bella Jules Fashion Boutique, in West Reading.

Ten Albright College seniors were named to the Lions' 2019 Homecoming Court.

Seventy one high-performing Albright students have been named peer tutors for the 2019-20 academic year. All Albright tutors are certified by the College Reading and Learning Association's International Tutor Training Program.

After earning national recognition for her performance in an Albright College theatre production, political science major Miranda Holliday is exploring a semester-long National Theatre Institute residency this fall.

Conducting research with business faculty member, Richard Schott, MBA, Albright business administration major Sean Darrar '20, produced a documentary exploring the early-day unethical business practices of the iconic Reading Pagoda. A free screening of the documentary "Reading's Pagoda: The Business That Never Was" will be held on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m., in Albright College's Center for the Arts Klein Lecture Hall.

Hailing from 20 states - as well as Morocco, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea and Ireland - Albright's class of 2023 has arrived in Reading, Pa. Biology is the group's most popular major, followed by Albright's Alpha program for undecided students and Business Administration. About half of the class of 2023 comes from outside of Pennsylvania.

Albright College political science major Jazer Willis '22 has been chosen as a 2019 Forbes Under 30 Scholar. In October, Willis will attend an Under 30 Summit alongside 1,000 other driven students from across the globe.
