Albrightians Present Global Interpretation of Romeo & Juliet

Albright College students took part in a large scale adaption of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" this spring, as seen through the diverse perspectives of participants from the global community. Directed by Dahlia Al-Habieli, M.F.A., assistant professor of theatre, a team of students and professionals worked to coordinate the casts and crews of nearly 70 people, while creating original music and combining/editing hundreds of actor recordings.

After a full year of work, 23 Albright College Honors Program students are presenting completed senior theses research. Each senior thesis is a major undertaking and the culmination of concentrated independent research, vetted by a faculty advisor and a committee of faculty readers.

Thania Inoa De Jesus has been selected as the 2021 CUPRAP Diversity Scholarship recipient by the College and University Public Relations and Associated Professionals (CUPRAP) organization. With aspirations to own a public relations firm focusing on women-owned businesses, Inoa De Jesus is a senior, first-generation Albright College student working four jobs while studying business and communications and minoring in Spanish and art.

Morgan Rahtjen Accepted into Competitive Medical Lab Program

Morgan Rahtjen, a junior biology/biotechnology major at Albright College, is one of only six scholars to be accepted into Tower Health's Medical Laboratory Science program at the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences (RHSHS). Most students accepted into the competitive program have already earned undergraduate degrees.

Taking on a highly-responsible position, Resident Assistants (RAs) lead and support the development of each individual in Albright's residence halls and apartments. RAs develop positive personal relationships with residents, collaborate with campus offices, empower residents to effectively interact with classmates, and uphold Albright community standards. They are highly trained in safety, as well as campus resources, programming and policies.

Class of 2024 Arrives at Albright College

Hailing from 17 states, and half way around the globe, about 43% of Albright College's class of 2024 students come from hometowns outside of Pennsylvania. The class of 2024 began classes early this year, on August 17. Overall, the class of 2024's most popular major is Business Administration, followed closely by biology/biochemistry and psychology. About 40 students are taking advantage of the college's Alpha program to help undecided students find their academic fit. Welcome to Albright, class of 2024!

High Achieving Albright Grads Named Jacob Albright Scholars

Twenty seven members of the Albright College Class of 2020 have been named lifetime Jacob Albright Scholars. Established in 1982, the Jacob Albright Society celebrates Albright graduates with a grade point average of 3.85 or higher, who have completed at least half their course work at the college.
